Arrow Sudoku Puzzle a Day 2025
217
Arrow sudoku is a puzzle type that is not for the faint-hearted! The puzzles provide a stiffer challenge than standard sudoku, but is incredibly enjoyable and satisfying when you do crack them.
The puzzle adds some maths to the pure logical challenge of a standard sudoku. It has regions with arrows, hence the name, and you must work out the numbers that go along the path of the arrow. The number in the circled square at the top of the arrow is the sum of the digits along its path. For instance if an arrow consists of a circled cell containing 9, and two other squares, those two others square must sum to 9 : so they could contain 8,1 or 7,2 or 6,3 or 5,4.
Arrow sudokus will have less given digits at the start than standard sudoku and it can require patience and steady working to make deductions initially, but once you get solving they have a delightful logical flow to them that is rare to see in any puzzle type.
All our arrow sudoku have a single solution that you can solve logically without recourse to guessing.
This book contains 366 daily challenges for 2025, so if you are a fan of this logic puzzle type, then we hope you'll love this book packed full of them throughout the course of the year!
Arrow words are a fun and popular variation on the standard crossword. Unlike an orthodox crossword where the clues are outside the grid, with this puzzle type all the clues appear INSIDE the grid itself and have arrows pointing in the direction in which you should write in each answer.
As such, the grids tend to be denser than standard crosswords with less squares that are used by one one across or down clue. The clues are also of course more succinct too.
If you enjoy arrow words, then this book offers a daily puzzle throughout 2025, with a little arrow word puzzle for you to enjoy for a few minutes each day of the year. All answers are included at the back of the book so if you get stuck or need to check any answers it is easy to do so.
Battleships puzzles are a delightful logic puzzle, and this book contains no fewer then 366 of them - one for every day of 2025 and a bonus for 1st January 2026!
The puzzles are played on 10x10 grids and you must use logic to determine the position of each of the fleet of ships in the grid: there are ten ships to find, of varying sizes.
You can solve all of our battleships puzzles using logic, but be warned: this book contains easy, medium and hard puzzles that alternate in turn, so whereas the easy puzzles may prove a relaxing and gentle challenge for an experienced battleships solver, the medium and hard challenges will definitely step things up a gear so you'll need to keep your wits about you to solve them all!
Of course, all answers are included at the back of the book if you get stuck or need a helping hand at any point. So have fun in 2025 solving a battleships puzzle each and every day of the year, and revealing the location of all those ships. It'll be plain sailing in no time at all!
Bridges puzzles, also known as hashi or hashiwokakero, are a lovely logic puzzle. The aim of the puzzle is to draw bridges between islands, in such a way that all islands are connected with no more than two bridges between islands and no crossing bridges.
The puzzle can look daunting but they actually have a lovely logical flow and solution to them - no guessing is required with a well-made bridges puzzle. All solutions are included at the back of the book.
If you like this intriguing Japanese logic puzzle then we think you'll love this book of daily bridges puzzles to enjoy throughout 2025 - so let's start building those bridges!

Why not add a new little ritual to your daily routing and start the day with a cup of your favourite tea or coffee and relax whilst solving one of these codeword puzzles?
Best of all the book contains all solutions at the back of the book, is printed on quality paper in clear black and white ink, and therefore will produce many, many hours of satisfying puzzle-solving relaxation for any fan of codeword puzzles (also known as code breakers, code crackers and various other names!)
Crossword a Day is one of our most popular books in our Puzzle a Day series. Who doesn't enjoy the satisfaction of filling in all the blank squares in a crossword grid clue-by-clue until the whole puzzle is solved?

If you are a fan of solving a daily quick crossword in a national newspaper then the style of puzzle will be familiar to you: this book is aimed at a British audience (as opposed to the American style of puzzle grid which is very different to the UK style).
If you yourself enjoy solving crosswords or you have friends or family members who enjoy this fun pastime, then why not give the gift of Crossword a Day 2025 whether as a Christmas, birthday gift or just as a spontaneous present throughout the year? Hexalex is a delightful little puzzle created by Clarity Media with it's distinctive hexagonal presentation and twist on an old puzzle idea: place letters into a grid in order that a list of words given to you can be created.
The aim of the game, then, is to use the list of letters given to you and place each of them once into the grid in such a way that everything on the wordlist can be found by moving from hexagon to adjacent hexagon.
As with our other puzzles, they are carefully crafted so that there are a range of logical solve rules available to you to determine what goes where in the grid - you simply won't ever have to guess and see what happens. The puzzles vary in difficultly from puzzle to puzzle to keep the challenges fresh, varied and interesting.
If you like word and logic puzzles, then we hope you'll love this collection of hexalex puzzles. And we've included all the answers at the back of the book so you can check if you're right as you go along.
Kriss Kross puzzles are a lovely little word puzzle in which you are given a blank crossword-style grid. The puzzle also provides you with a list of words. Your task is to place all of the words in the grid.
This sounds easy, but sometimes it can be quite challenging!
This book contains 366 daily kriss kross challenges (the puzzle is also known variously as criss cross, letterfit, word fit and word fill puzzles).
In addition to the daily challenges for 2025, there is a much larger monthly challenge puzzle too, so you actually get 376 kriss kross to solve in this bumper book, making it the perfect Christmas gift for any fan of kriss kross puzzles who would enjoy a little break each day to solve a puzzle in this book.
Perfect for those who enjoy solving a range of different puzzle types, this book contains a range of word, number and logic puzzles so there is something for every different puzzle-solving mood. The book contains the following ten types of puzzle which alternate - there are 36 or 37 of each puzzle type so plenty to enjoy, with one puzzle for each day of 2025 dated accordingly.
- Codeword
- Wordsearch
- Wordwheel
- Word finder (like a paper-based Wordle puzzle)
- Minesweeper
- Find the sum
- Rectangles
- Number square
- Noughts and crossed (one-player logic version)
- Sudoku
As you'll see there is a wonderful variety of different puzzle types to enjoy in this book, with all answers at the back. We're sure you or someone you buy this book for will love the collection and the variety of puzzle-solving experiences it affords.
Are you someone who enjoys kriss kross puzzles but is looking for something of a different challenge?
If so then this could be the ideal book for you! Generally a little harder than the standard kriss kross, this puzzle solves in the same way but instead of placing words in the grid you must place numbers.
The added difficulty comes from the fact it is harder to remember a number than it is a word, and of course there are only 10 digits rather than 26 letters so there are more likely to be multiple places in the grid where a single number can be placed.
Therefore this is the ideal gift for any experienced kriss kross fan who you think might enjoy the slightly stiffer challenge that comes along with number kriss kross puzzles. Happy solving, and enjoy!
Number pyramids, also known as number towers, are a popular way of practicing and improving your mental arithmetic in a fun way. They are particularly popular with children.
The aim of the puzzle is simple - you are given a pyramid of numbers, composed of blocks of which many are empty in the start puzzle. You must use simple arithmetic (addition and/or subtraction) to work out which number must be placed in each empty block of the grid which follows just one simple rule - the number placed in a block is the sum of the two blocks directly underneath it.
Armed with just that rule, you can solve each of these puzzles. They are a fantastic way of practicing and improving arithmetic, so if you have a child who would like to improve or practice their arithmetic then these daily challenges throughout 2025 could be an ideal way to achieve this. And of course all solutions are included at the back of the book so it's easy for yourself or your child to check as you go along.
Pathfinder puzzles, also known as wordpath or wordtrail puzzles, are a fun puzzle that is essentially a type of wordsearch puzzle in which a list of words twist their way through the grid, forming a continuous path through the grid from start to finish. The words follow on from each other and you must determine where they all are in the grid and then link them all together to form the single path that wends through the grid, moving from square to square horizontally or vertically at each stage.
All the puzzles in this pathfinder book are themed, so there are lots of interesting topics to explore and uncover as you tackle the challenges in this book.
Overall compared to some other puzzles, pathfinder provide a straightforward, fun and relaxing challenge, so they are ideal if you are looking for a fun puzzle that doesn't provide too much challenge but is nevertheless satisfying.
This is the first time we've created a pathfinder daily book, so we hope you'll enjoy this 2025 collection and the few minutes of fun and relaxation afforded each and every day of the year as you solve these challenges.
Everybody loves a good quiz and showing off their quiz-solving general knowledge abilities!
This book therefore makes a great gift for any fan of the pub quiz or just a trivia buff in general.
The way the book works is simple - there is a daily quiz dated for each day of the year in 2025 - and each quiz contains five questions.
This provides an enjoyable bite-sized quiz that you can enjoy each day, but still provides an impressive 1,830 questions over the course of the whole book!
You might like to add a little quiz to your daily routine, or solve along with a friend or family member - or even post the questions to the family WhatsApp group and see who gets the best score each day!
We hope you'll love solving the daily quiz and the little bit of daily pleasure it provides throughout 2025.
Star battle puzzles also known as stars or two not touch are a delightful logic puzzle.
You must use logic alone to determine where to place two stars in each row, column and bold-lined region that comprise each grid. Stars cannot touch, not even diagonally.
And that's all there is to it! It might seem a very simple rule set, but actually star battle puzzles are very elegant and can require a surprisingly deep set of solving rules and patterns to solve.
As such, they provide great enjoyment and entertainment for solvers as no two puzzles solve in quite the same manner, and there are always fresh insights that you can derive and spot and then use in future puzzles.
When creating the puzzles we take care to ensure that we only use logical rules that humans can see and implement to create them, so if you get stuck with any of our puzzles rest assured you can make progress logically: to be sure, some insights are harder to come by than others, but no guesswork is required.
With full answers at the back of the book, this is the ideal gift for any fan of star battle / two not touch puzzles, with 366 daily challenges to enjoy throughout the course of 2025.
Sudoku a Day 2025 contains 366 sudoku puzzles, each of which is dated for each day of 2025 along with a bonus puzzle for 1st January 2026.
The puzzles are graded easy, medium and difficult and they are shuffled together so the order of puzzles in the book goes easy, medium, hard then repeats all the way through.
This book is the perfect gift for any fan of standard sudoku puzzles - and guarantees them solving pleasure each and every day of the year in 2025. For those who prefer different types of sudoku we do also have a variety sudoku book with ten different variants to enjoy, so if that's what floats your boat then please do take a look at that book too!

All of these variants add some intriguing logic to the basic sudoku puzzle. For instance, the puzzle might included extra regions like Sudoku X, or a new solving constraint such as the cages in killer sudoku, or even arrows in the grid that must sum up to a number you have to determine at the head of the arrow. Consecutive sudoku reveals the positions of all consecutive numbers in the grid.
A range of delightful variants, therefore, with 36 or 37 of each puzzle type to enjoy throughout 2025 and, as ever, all answers are included at the back of the book.
Train tracks puzzles are a fun and interesting logic puzzle that look great visually. If you're new to the puzzle type then you're in for a treat.
You must use the numbers around the edge of the grid to determine how many sections of track there are in each row and column of the grid, and must form a single continuous track for the train to pass through as it moves from A to B. The track doesn't cross itself and either passes through a square or turns at a right-angle inside it.
All our train tracks are carefully crafted to ensure that there is a fully logical solve path for each puzzle that a human can determine and follow: you may have played train tracks puzzles elsewhere where this was not the case and you essentially had to use trial-and-error to solve the puzzle or make guesses. Rest assured you will never need to guess to solve any of our train tracks puzzles!
The book contains 366 challenges for each day of 2025 and a bonus for 1st January 2026. All answers are included at the back of the book too. So if you enjoy tracks, or train tracks, or model railway puzzles as they are also known, we hope you'll love this book of them to enjoy throughout 2025.

Group sum Sudoku is a great variant of the standard Sudoku puzzle that introduces a mathematical element to the solving process.
At regular intervals through the grid there are circles containing a series of numbers, as can be seen on the front cover. The number in each circle is the sum of the digits in the four surrounding squares. For instance, if the sum is 10, then you know the surrounding squares must contain 1,2,3,4 in some order - since there is only one way to make 10 from four different numbers, and all the numbers must be different in order to be compatible with standard Sudoku rules that no number can repeat within a 3x3 box.
If you like Sudoku and also a little bit of maths, then we hope you'll love this variant: it is particularly good for those who either enjoy killer Sudoku or have tried killer Sudoku but try it a little bit hard to get started with.

A wordtracker grid consists of nine-letters arranged in a 3x3 grid, as shown on the cover. A simple and fun word puzzle, we hope you'll enjoy this brand-new book of pathfinder puzzles.
An intriguing and rarely-seen Sudoku variant. Five clue Sudoku contains five numbers at the beginning of each row and column. These tell you the order in which those digits appear in the row or column.
