The rules are simple to follow – although solving them may be more difficult!

Every letter of the alphabet from A-Z appears at least once in each of the crossword grids. However, these letters have been replaced with a number! For example, a number 7 in the grid might be represented by the letter T.

To get you started, we have given you three letter and number pairings at the beginning of each puzzle. A top tip is to cross off each letter as you uncover their pairings in the bar underneath the grid. This way, you will always have a record of your progress and it will be a lot harder to lose your place. It is important to remember that each number from 1-26 is paired with a letter in the alphabet from A-Z and that every letter appears at least once in the grid. Use this knowledge, as well as your English language skills to solve every puzzle!

Solutions to each puzzle can be found at the back of the book if you would like to check your answers or need a small hint to help you on your way.
